NOHO LOFT
the family of four needed to add one bedroom and one bathroom.
the parents being designers have a very sharp eye for details and a simple, but sophisticated taste.
functionally we relocated the kitchen, using it as the central articulating element, dividing the space in two; private and public.
the public or day area has a suspended ceiling as a floating tray that combines underneath the kitchen with an oversize island and the dining room areas, leaving the the living-room facing the street through its magnificent windows.
the private area has two bathrooms three bedrooms and a home office and laundry.
to been able to have a complete bathroom for the suite bedroom, we used a very limited space where the laundry room was located, to make it comfortable and functional we used space efficient fixtures; like shallow sink, wall mounted toilet and small shower tray. we also added a walking closet to the main bedroom.
the two children bedrooms are big enough to place a full bed a desk and its closet.
the used materials are clean and contemporary; blonde wood, concrete finish, white porcelain tile, aqua glass tiles and a neutral color palette in the walls; give a very casual and timeless look that work perfect for the relax lifestyle of the family.
